Just trying ART

I made another page in my art journal. I just tried some techniques I read in the Craft Stamper.

I started with some gesso and a bottle cap. Than I added distress inks an chalk.  The flower was drawn all by myself, my first drawing in my art journal.

ATC Water

The ATC-swap on the forum of The Craftorij has ended. The subject of this month was water (in all it's ways).
For my ATC I used several colors of blue distress inks. The stamps is one of my daughter stamps.

I wanna be free

Today I made my second page of my art journal.

I was invited for a brand new Dutch forum, especially for Art journaling an Mixed Media. Here is were now can find a lot of inspriration, information an tutorials.
Of course this forum gave me a bit of a push to go on wirh my art journal.

Funny pictures

Do I have to say more? On the internet you can find many sites were you can make your pictures 'funny'.
Have you ever seen your picture hangin' in a museum or some billboards of your kids?

Yesterday I took my kids to castle Doornenburg to take some pictures of them. Just trying out my camera.

I dared myself

I dared myself en stepped in front of the camera. Like most of you you can only find my behind the camera, so this was a big challenge.

A good friend of mine made the pictures and I must say................they're great!!!

This layout I made is an entry for the Freehand scraps sketch contest on the Pagemaps blog. I found some perfect design paper by Kaiserkraft for this pictures. And the sketch is reflected.

I really love the result!

Bicycle parking

Aurora has lost both her front teeth. Pretty normal at her age, but it looks a bit funny.

Here in Holland this has the name: Bicycle parking.
Why?
Because you can almost park your bike in it?

My first page of Art journaling!!!

What!!!!!!
Yes, I'm starting with art journaling. Just trying, maybe I'm gonna like it a lot.


For this first page I was inspired by the theme of this month's ATC swap of The Craftorij forum, which is 'Water'.


First I stamped the images, the pelican, the shell and the crab.
Then started masking them and made a model to cover up the borders. After that I started inking, using Rangers Distress Inks (Tumbled Glass, Broken China an Faded Jeans). The bubbles were made with a ballpoint, using the tip as a stamp.
The stamped images are all coloured with Derwent coloursoft pensils.
And finally the poem........just found on the internet.

Best creations sketch contest (Pagemaps)

On the Pagemaps blog there's a sketch contest which I love to do. A great sketch and a great price to win.

First of all, I used three prictures instead of two.
And second, I turned the sketch. The design paper is Dots & stripes by Echo Park (again, I used it before as you can see).
All small lines you can see are all embroidered with black wire.

To finish it I atached some flowers and a Magnolia pirate stamp. This stamp is coloured with Derwent Coloursoft Pensils.
